This presentation and report will be of interest to EPIC members interested in advances and considerations in breast & prostate cancer photonic imaging.
Cancer is a group of abnormal cells that grow, and potentially invade, adjoining parts of the body or spread to other organs. The two most prevalent forms of cancer begin in the breast and prostate. This report examines new and evolving photonic imaging approaches for detecting and treating breast and prostate cancer – including endoscopic techniques – focusing on diagnosis, surgery, and post-operative monitoring. Additionally, this report examines the supply chain and regulatory aspects that impact introduction of new technologies and products into the medical market.
