Nowadays, the development of the novel medical devices is largely driven by the photonics technologies. These technologies bring new approaches in applications such as diagnostics, therapeutics as well as surgical tools enabling doctors’ assistance, patient monitoring, diagnostics, etc. This meeting will address the challenges of development of medical devices and integration of the photonics technologies in it, focusing on the manufacturing, testing, validation and up-scaling of new photonics technologies for medical diagnostics. The meeting will bring together companies working on development and manufacturing of the medical devices: from components providers to system integrators. Additionally, needs and solutions for the highly regulated validation and production processes and the timespan of the device development will be discussed.
