Dr. Zoran Sodnik is the Optical Communication Technology Manager in the telecommunication directorate of the European Space Agency (ESA).
The New Space initiative by ESA has generated a large number of earth observation missions and novel navigation and communication strategies, all of which require advances in Satellite Communication and monitoring systems. In this meeting, we will gather a supply chain of space enthusiastic companies working on i.e. space-qualified optics, mirrors, lasers and detectors, and put the finger on the major challenges of SatCom.

He has extensive experience in leadership at companies like Bosch Telecom, GAH Com. & SELEX Com.. Currently active at AFCEA and the American Chamber of Commerce in Germany, also holds several patents.
Dan has been in the space industry for more than 25 years, in project management and business development roles. He has worked for ESA, Boeing, LogicaCMG, Deimos Space, SES, and now Spire.
David is product line manager at Cailabs, in charge of laser communication strategy & development.
Joined SES in 1999 as a telecom engineer and currently holds the position of VP, Sales and BD at SES Techcom. He is looking at developing SES innovative services such as Quantum Communications or GovSatCom end-to-end solutions.
