This meeting will bring together the EPIC community to target the development of a roadmap that addresses the optical eco-system that emerges in support of Beyond 400 Gb/s Ethernet.  The scope of this meeting covers the needs of this market regarding optical coupling, electrical connections, modulation formats, form-factors for transceivers, thermal considerations, and requirements for large-volume production, among others.

John is Chairman of the Ethernet Alliance and IEEE. At Futurewei, a subsidiary of Huawei, he is responsible for Ethernet standardization. John is a veteran of the Ethernet standardization process, having participated since the development of 10 Gigabit Ethernet.

Jim has over 30 years of industry experience in electronics and optics. Jim is a former President of the Ethernet Alliance and former optical liaison editor for IEEE Communications Magazine, and is a frequent contributor to industry publications

A senior staff engineer at NVIDIA focusing on high speed optical interconnects for datacenter systems. He is a member of the Photonics21 Board of Stakeholders and has participated in organizing committees of photonics-related events.

Gary’s roles include defining strategy and technology for high-speed interconnect across Cisco’s routing and switching platforms. Gary currently serves as Treasurer/Secretary for OIF. Gary holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manchester (UK).
