The purpose of the meeting is to facilitate the exchange of information between the photonics component and system suppliers and integrators about the upcoming opportunities and challenges that Quantum technologies can bring to the security and defense field. The discussion will center around new imaging technologies for defense applications, and mainly ghost imaging, enabling seeing hidden objects, looking around corners, or through fog or dust. Other topics will be also discussed such as: quantum clocks based on trapped ions and atoms can measure time with unprecedented accuracy, quantum sensors enabling the detection of motion, light, electric and magnetic fields, and gravity, or Quantum Key Distribution for secure communications.
EPIC B2B Meeting Concept – Component and system suppliers from small/medium/large companies who have a new or innovative technological solution present their technologies to integrators who seek specific capabilities and performance. The technologies presented should be innovative and new and ready for integration into a final system. Integrators will briefly present their needs and requirements in the field of Photonics. Participants will have ample opportunities to network and be able to discuss business and technology details during the event. The EPIC B2B Roundtable accelerates the presence in the market of key competitive technologies
